From January 2 to 3, 2020, the 9th national on-site evaluation group came to Beijing local authorities for performance evaluation concerning the local crackdown on IPR infringement and counterfeiting in 2019 in the forms of report hearing, files review and on-site inspection. The five members of the group were officials from the National Intellectual Property Administration (NIPA), State Post Bureau, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and State Administration for Market Regulation.

On January 2, before the report meeting, Wang Hong, Head of Beijing Leading Group on the fight against IPR infringement and counterfeiting (or "Beijing Leading Group") and Deputy Mayor of Beijing had a workshop with all the members of the evaluation group.

Yang Dongqi, Deputy Head of Beijing Leading Group and Secretary of Leading Party Group of NIPA presided over the report meeting. Wang Jun, Deputy Head of Beijing Leading Group and Deputy Secretary-General of Beijing People's Government delivered welcome remarks on behalf of the local government. Ji Yan, Deputy Head of Beijing Leading Group and Head of Beijing Administration for Market Regulation gave a work report in 2019 on behalf of Beijing. The representatives of Beijing Customs, Beijing Procuratorate, Dongcheng District and Fengtai District made specific presentations respectively.

On January 3, the evaluation group inspected a company and a market in Haidian District and Chaoyang District on site and heard the work report from the officials of two districts concerning their crackdown on IPR infringement and counterfeiting.
