On April 13, Lianhu Science and Technology Bureau, together with the Intellectual Property Office of Shaanxi, Xi'an Intellectual Property Office and Lianhu Bureau of Commerce organized the patent administrative law enforcement inspection in supermarkets and drug stores in Lianhu District.
The inspection involved such goods as appliances, daily necessities, food, toys and drugs, especially focusing on whether the patent marks and labels were standardized and whether counterfeit patents existed. The inspection group put over 100 goods on file. The law enforcement officials explained to merchants the knowledge on marks and labels of patent goods and patent retrieval, guided them to establish and improve the IPR record mechanism and distributed promotion materials on patent law and IPR knowledge quizzes.
Although the inspection results was positive, patent marks were not standard or merchants lacked enough IPR awareness. The law enforcement officials timely put products with non-standard patent marks off shelves and corrected the behavior of the merchants, thereby building a positive environment for IPR protection.
