Global effort stops fake goods group
The Ministry of Public Security and the United States Department of Homeland Security have cooperated in the investigation of a large cross-border intellectual property infringement case. The Chinese police seized 36 suspects and found more than 3,000 counterfeit luxury products bearing trademarks, including Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Rolex and Cartier, in seven hideouts. The suspect group accepted online orders in China and sold the products to the US and other countries and regions. They made 100 million yuan ($15.3 million) in illegal sales revenue.
