The police of Xuzhou announced on Tuesday that they investigated in a large international counterfeit trademark case involving more than 20 cities nationwide. The police received reports last October, and found a group making and selling online counterfeit cosmetic products through two factories in Zhejiang province. They seized 25 suspects and more than 20,000 illegal products with estimated potential value of 30 million yuan ($4.4 million). The suspects made the products in China and mailed them overseas where they sold the products to Chinese consumers, claiming the products were international brands.
