Ningxia:Police solve online game infringement case

The Yinchuan police have solved China's first criminal case involving online game copyright infringement to be filed with them. It was also the first case handled by the Yinchuan police’s recently established IP crime detachment. They received a complaint from Shanghai Shanda Networking Group last month that a Guangdong-based company had copied one of its games, using a similar name, characters and scenarios. The server of Shanda's game is in Yinchuan. The suspects from the Guangdong company are now in criminal detention.
