Shanghai: IP tribunal starts in FTZ

An intellectual property tribunal was inaugurated on April 9 in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, administrated by the court of Pudong New Area. The supreme court unveiled its IP judicial protection liaison office in the new area on the same day. Zhang Bin, director of the court of Pudong New Area, said the IP tribunal will help improve the business environment in the area by offering professional and centralized IP trials. It will also seek innovative IP management systems.
