An artificial intelligence tactile sensor laboratory was recently opened in Zhongguancun, Beijing's high-tech business hub. It was founded by the University of Manchester from the United Kingdom and Tashan Tec, a high-tech company in Beijing. The new lab, the first of its kind in the country, plans to focus on the research into AI chips that will enable robots to have a sense of touch similar to humans, according to its executives.(Source: Beijing Daily)
