A competition between a mechanical cocoon harvester and seven people took place at Long'an village, Beishan town of Yizhou district in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on July 18. The machine defeated the humans after a 45-minute match. 

Invented by Qin Debin, the cocoon harvester has advanced from its first generation to its third through more convenient and highly-efficient technologies and has been granted a state patent. 

With advantages of low cost, energy efficiency and high output, the machine has been well received in the district. (Source: China Daily)
