Tianjin will establish an enterprises-based, market-oriented, and industry-university-research integrated manufacturing innovation system, said Li Chaoxing, deputy to the National People's Congress.
More than 600 new innovative and technological centers will be constructed in the city to develop advanced manufacturing technologies.
"To date, there are 50 national technological centers and 15 national innovation demonstration enterprises in Tianjin and many core technologies have been developed, including the commercialization of the Ebola vaccine and pressure vacuum circuit breakers," Li explained.
Li said the city intends to own 200 core technologies with independent intellectual property rights and to develop 100 new products in the fields of intelligent manufacturing, bio-pharmaceutical, and new energy.
