On April 13, a news conference on the IPR development and protection in the Yangtze river delta region in 2017 was held in Hangzhou. At the conference, IPR Joint Session Office of the People's Government of Jiangsu Province issued the 2016 White Paper of Jiangsu on Intellectual Property Rights Development and Protection（Chinese and English version）.
The White Paper introduced the achievements that units of the Office had scored in the fields of IPR creation, utilization, protection and management from eight aspects including the construction of a powerful province with IPR strengths, IPR creation, enterprises' IPR work and international IPR cooperation and exchanges.
In 2016, the IPR departments at different levels in Jiangsu fully implemented the Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of a Powerful Country with IPR Strengths under New Situation Issued by the Central Government. Under the leadership of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and People's Government of Jiangsu Province, they further improved the IPR creation, utilization, protection, management and service capabilities, thereby helping Jiangsu step into a new phase of IPR development and laying a solid foundation for building a powerful province with IPR strengths.
