[Case] Jordan appeal goes to court

Beijing High People's Court on Monday heard an appeal basketball superstar Michael Jordan filed against the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board. The plaintiff in 2012 demanded the board repeal several trademarks including "Qiaodan", the Chinese translation of Jordan, registered by the Qiaodan Sports Co, as he thought the trademarks went against the honesty and credibility principle in the law against unfair competition and could mislead consumers. Previously, the board upheld registration of the trademarks.
